Kisimul Island, Castlebay, Isle Of Barra

I caught this late evening view across the bay from Castlebay, and it's obvious how the wee town came by its name. Kisimul literally translates as 'castle island'.

Candle and red wine

On an autumn evening when the rain was lashing at the window, it seemed appropriate to light a candle and enjoy a glass of wine. Serendipity threw some great shadows and reflections so I resisted drinking the glass dry and made an image by the light of the off picture candle casting its own reflection in the wine glass, which in its turn was casting a shadow across the wall.
