Candle and red wine

f/2 1/15 sec 100mm ISO 400

On an autumn evening when the rain was lashing at the window, it seemed appropriate to light a candle and enjoy a glass of wine. Serendipity threw some great shadows and reflections so I resisted drinking the glass dry and made an image by the light of the off picture candle casting its own reflection in the wine glass, which in its turn was casting a shadow across the wall.

The 20 cm x 15 cm print using 8 pigment inks is on 300 gsm cold press (NOT) textured watercolour paper and mounted in an acid free bevel-edged 25 cm x 20 cm white card mount.
